The Case for World Heritage

The Mount Lofty Ranges World Heritage Bid seeks the preservation of a landscape layered with echoes of the past – from the rich and continuing cultures of First Nations peoples, through systemic colonisation based on Utopian ideals, to a thriving modern society.

UNESCO World Heritage status would position the Mount Lofty Ranges as a location of global significance. World Heritage sites are places of special importance, representing unique and valuable examples of humanity’s cultural and natural heritage.
